Generative AI Engineer

Salary: $114,400 - 124,800 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, large language models, and AI-enabled applications.
• Proficiency with modern programming languages, frameworks, APIs, and cloud services for web-based or distributed applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex problems from concept through implementation.
• Preferred: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Preferred: Experience implementing or evaluating RAG, agentic AI workflows, document intelligence, or workflow automation platforms.
• Preferred: Experience in regulated industries and working with governance, risk, compliance, security, or legal teams.
• Preferred: Vendor evaluation experience and ability to provide technical recommendations to leadership.
• Preferred: Experience supporting proof-of-concept development and innovation initiatives.

• Design, build, and deploy Generative AI proofs of concept and production-ready solutions using modern engineering practices and cloud-native technologies.
• Evaluate, prototype, and validate emerging Generative AI capabilities, platforms, tools, and vendors for Institutional Banking applications.
• Develop AI-enabled applications and workflows using LLMs, RAG, agentic AI frameworks, document intelligence, automation platforms, APIs, and cloud services.
• Turn business ideas into working software through rapid prototyping, experimentation, and demonstrations of viability.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify valuable opportunities to improve productivity, decision-making, client service, efficiency, and risk management.
• Provide technical input and documentation for governance, risk, compliance, model review, and technology approval processes.
• Help teams prepare governance submissions and explain technical approaches, risks, controls, and implementation considerations.
• Research Generative AI industry trends and vendor capabilities, then present findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Design and implement integrations across AI platforms, enterprise systems, and cloud services.
• Establish and promote engineering standards, reusable patterns, and best practices for AI solution development.
• Independently write clean, maintainable, secure, and testable code.
• Prepare technical documentation, reference architectures, implementation guidance, presentations, and demonstrations to support adoption.
• Present prototypes, findings, and roadmaps to stakeholders and senior managers.
• Support production deployments, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve Generative AI solutions.
• Stay informed about Generative AI regulatory, governance, security, and risk considerations, incorporating appropriate controls into designs.
