Description . This is a contract, on-site position offering the opportunity to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in a collaborative clinical environment. As an Associate-level role, it is well suited to physicians looking to expand their experience in cardiology while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive cardiology care, including evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with a range of cardiovascular conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered treatment plans and continuity of care. Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiovascular conditions Perform comprehensive cardiac assessments and interpret diagnostic tests Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for cardiology patients Order and review diagnostic imaging, ECGs, and laboratory studies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Provide consultations and referrals to appropriate specialists when needed Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed medical records Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly Educate patients and families on cardiac health and disease prevention Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Participate in case reviews and contribute to quality improvement initiatives Maintain current licensure and stay informed on advances in cardiology Requirements MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree Associate-level experience in cardiology or a related clinical setting Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology Strong clinical diagnostic and decision-making skills Proficiency in interpreting cardiac diagnostic tests Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Willingness to work on-site in Roanoke Rapids Availability for a contract-based engagement Dedication to continuous learning and professional development Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5p, specific dates Weeknight call (5p-7a) and weekend call (7a-7a) Setting: Inpatient and outpatient Duties: Perform PCIs, stent placements, TEEs, and NUCs; interpret echos and stress tests; provide consults and daily rounds No STEMI or high-risk cases Peripheral experience preferred Support Staff: APP EMR: Epic Must be board-certified DEA required Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr 77 consultants
