Overview The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position commencing August 2026. The role supports the core curriculum through courses such as Introduction to Philosophy and General Ethics and participates in interdisciplinary teaching through the College’s Development of Western Civilization Program. Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate commitment to and/or experience with engaging diverse students in the classroom, supporting the department’s teaching of the history of philosophy. Participate in interdisciplinary team teaching through the College’s Development of Western Civilization Program. Teach a teaching load of three courses per semester, with a cap of 25 students per class.
