Detention Officer

Current openings are available for correctional officers at the Sequoyah County Jail. Training provided. Must be 18 years of age to apply with a valid driver's license. Apply online or at the Sheriff's Office. Starting pay is $16.47 per hour with step increases at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year. Includes paid benefits (insurance, retirement, sick, and vacation leave). Step Raises (based on time with the Sheriff's Office) Great work shift schedule (only work 14 days a month) Requirements Oral interview, MMPI psychological evaluation, drug screen. No experience required; training will be provided. Applicants MUST possess a VALID driver's license. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
