This is a full time position working Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 04:30pm with an on-call after hours rotation one week per month.Position Responsibilities:Ability to work independentlyAbility to demonstrate: organizational skills, efficiency in all task and attention to detailAbility to read, write, and comprehend medical information.Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone.Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results.Has consistently demonstrated service-oriented performance.Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC.Duties:Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures.Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures.Performs Respirator Fit testing.Performs Pulmonary Function TestObtains basic history, and medical information, and take vital signsAdministers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician in accordance with State of Louisiana law and prevailing CORE, LLC agreements and protocols.Performs collection of vital signs, Performs visual acuity and color testing.Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain of custody requirements.Performs safe venipuncturePerforms urine dipstick testing.Performs 12 lead EKGs.Performs audiometric screening.Performs other duties as required.Position Qualifications:Current Medical Assistant Certificates with state license (preferred)Current CPR/BLS CertificationBasic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred)Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employeesPrevious Occupational Medicine experience (preferred)CORE, CHN, and our subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers.
