** Level 2 SMT Operator **

** Job Description & Duties **

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 SMT Operator to program, set up, and operate surface

mount production equipment in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. This role

requires hands-on expertise across multiple SMT equipment types and a strong commitment to

quality and production efficiency.

• Program, set up, and operate SMT equipment including printer, SPI, pick-and-place, reflow

oven, AOI, and router

• Create and optimize reflow oven thermal profiles to meet process requirements

• Perform first article inspections and continuous visual quality checks against BOMs and

assembly drawings

• Knows & understands how to apply base level IPC-610 standards

• Identify and correct equipment misfeeds, misplacements, and alignment issues; escalate

when technical support is needed

• Support line changeovers, feeder loading, and parts kit management

• Maximize equipment throughput while ensuring safe operation and compliance Quality

System requirements

• Maintain equipment cleanliness and a safe, orderly workspace

** Qualifications & Requirements **

• Education: High school diploma or GED required

• Minimum 2 years of SMT manufacturing experience, including programming and

operation

• Ability to program at least two types of SMT equipment based on line layout: Printer,

SPI, P&P, Oven (thermal profiles), AOI, or Router

• Ability to read and verify bills of material, assembly drawings, and other technical

documentation

• Visual acuity of 20/20 with correction; ability to discern all colors

• Prefer English or bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Must pass pre-employment drug test

• Must pass criminal background check (no federal offenses; must meet Foreign Trade

Zone – FTZ – security requirements)

• Lift up to 35 lbs

• Authorized to work in the U.S. required (U.S. citizenship or permanent residency only –
