CNC Lathe Machinist (Nights)

Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist (Nights) A prominent manufacturer specializing in subsea oil field parts is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team. This role involves machining very large parts with an outer diameter ranging from 6 inches to 6 feet and lengths between 1 foot to 40 feet. These parts, which weigh thousands of pounds, are utilized in subsea pipelines, valve bodies, flange-like pieces, or large drill bits, necessitating precision and tight tolerance. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines using Fanuc controls and perform G code edits. Machining primarily involves long bed lathes, as well as Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) and Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM). Ensure precise machining of large parts adhering to program speeds and feeds. Perform job shop work, requiring confidence in handling complex machining tasks. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in CNC machining large parts. Proficiency in operating lathes, including long bed lathes, VTL, and HBM. Experience with Fanuc controls and G code. Background in job shop environments, not mass production. Ability to set up CNC machines, interpret blueprints, and ensure safety compliance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with vertical milling and CNC programming.
