Forensic Crash Investigator (Engineering-Focused) – Reconstruct Real-World Collisions

We are seeking a detail-driven professional to perform forensic crash reconstruction for civil and criminal cases. In this role, you will analyze physical evidence, apply engineering principles, and reconstruct collision events with precision,—helping attorneys, insurers, and agencies understand exactly what happened and why.

This is not a desk-only role. You’ll move between field investigations, technical analysis, and courtroom environments — turning data into defensible conclusions.

What You’ll Do

• Investigate collision scenes and vehicles while documenting physical evidence in real-world environments
• Apply engineering analysis to investigative findings to reconstruct motor vehicle accidents.
• Utilize tools such as GPS surveying, drone mapping, and 3D scanning technology
• Analyze data and develop clear, defensible conclusions
• Produce detailed technical reports and visual exhibits
• Collaborate with legal, insurance, government, and military stakeholders
• Provide professional support in litigation, including courtroom environments when needed

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with CAD software and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with:
• • Electronic surveying and GPS systems
  • Drone operations and aerial mapping
  • 3D scanning and photogrammetry
• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanical systems
• Experience in engineering, law enforcement, or military environments is a plus

Work Environment

• Mix of office, field, and courtroom settings
• Fieldwork may involve outdoor conditions and active investigation scenes
• Must be capable of lifting and transporting up to 50 lbs of equipment

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass background, credit, and drug screening
• Minimum of four professional references
