This role functions as a subject matter expert and serves as a liaison between operational departments and the IT team to ensure the effective use and continuous improvement of assigned systems. The analyst plays a leadership role in projects, including upgrades, new system implementations, and ongoing optimization efforts.This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments. The Applications Analyst III will lead the implementation of new features, troubleshoot complex issues, and support clinical and business teams in leveraging technology to meet operational goals.This role will focus on being an Application Analyst for Human Resources.This position plays a critical role in supporting Augusta Health's mission and advancing departmental goals through measurable performance indicators and service excellence. This position contributes to a collaborative, patient-centered environment and helps drive outcomes aligned with organizational priorities.Essential Job Duties:Serve as the primary application expert for assigned systems, managing configuration, upgrades, issue resolution, and change requests.Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams to implement, upgrade, or optimize applications.Conduct workflow assessments, define system requirements, and recommend enhancements to align technology with operational needs.Develop and maintain documentation for system configuration, workflows, and support procedures.Provide advanced support to resolve incidents and service requests, including root cause analysis and trending.Collaborate with vendors, technical teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and user-friendly application functionality.Coordinate testing efforts, including test script creation, validation, and end-user support for system changes.Deliver training and mentorship to other analysts and end-users as appropriate.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, IT policies, and change management processes.Perform other duties as assigned, aligned with Augusta Health's mission and values.Required Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or equivalentLicensure/Certification: ITIL Foundation Certification within 6 months of hire; Application-specific certification(s) designated by the manager within 1 year of hireExperience: Five or more years of experience supporting, configuring, and optimizing enterprise applications in healthcare or businessDriver's License: N/AEligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, IT, or clinical practiceLicensure/Certification: Epic, MEDITECH, or other vendor certifications related to assigned applicationsExperience: Eight or more years of experience; experience leading projects or mentoring staffPrior experience in a hospital, healthcare system, or related service-oriented environmentFamiliarity with Augusta Health's systems, workflows, or organizational culture is a plusCompetencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to Prioritize and Manage Time EfficientlyStrong Written and Verbal Communication SkillsProficiency in Using Computers and Software ApplicationsCommitment to Continuous Learning and Skill DevelopmentProblem-Solving and Critical Thinking SkillsUnderstanding and Active Support of Cybersecurity Risk MitigationProfessionalism and Interpersonal SkillsAdaptability and Flexibility in Dynamic EnvironmentsCustomer Service OrientationConsistent and Reliable Attendance and PunctualityAbout Augusta Health:Augusta Health is an independent, nonprofit, mission-driven health system located in Fishersville, Virginia, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.
