CLC is a commercial laundry and linen services company serving hotel accounts across the DC metro area — including Marriott and Hilton properties — out of a 72,000-square-foot automated facility in Jessup, MD. We're growing fast, and our CEO needs a sharp, versatile right hand to help run the business, not just support it. This is a rare seat: half the role is rolling up your sleeves on bookkeeping and payroll, and half is building the reporting, automation, and AI tools that will shape how CLC operates for years to come.

CLC is one of the largest commercial laundry providers on the East Coast, running one of the region's most modern operations and processing linens for hotel partners every day. We compete on reliability, quality, and speed — which means the business runs on tight operations, clean numbers, and fast decisions. As we scale, we're investing in the systems and technology that let a lean team punch above its weight, and this role sits right at the center of that effort.

You'll report directly to the CEO and become one of the most trusted people in the company within your first year. Early on, you'll take ownership of recurring bookkeeping and payroll administration so nothing falls through the cracks. As you get up to speed, you'll take on the CEO's overflow: building dashboards that tell us what's really happening in the business, standing up AI and automation tools that save the team hours every week, and running point on strategic projects from research through execution. Success in year one looks like this: the CEO trusts you with the numbers, trusts you with a live automation project end-to-end, and starts handing you bigger and bigger pieces of the business to own.

•     Own weekly bookkeeping and payroll administration — accurate, on time, no reminders needed

•     Build and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards the CEO and leadership actually use to make decisions

•     Lead AI-implementation projects — evaluate tools, pilot them, and roll out what works across the business

•     Identify and automate manual, repetitive processes across finance, operations, and reporting

•     Take on strategic initiatives directly from the CEO — market research, vendor evaluations, new project launches

•     Prepare materials, research, and analysis ahead of key meetings and decisions

•     Serve as a connective layer between the CEO and the rest of the organization on cross-functional projects

Required

•     Bachelor's degree, completed or in final semester

•     Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables; comfort learning new tools quickly)

•     Excellent written and verbal communication

•     A genuine self-starter — comfortable figuring things out with minimal hand-holding

•     Curiosity about AI tools and a desire to apply them to real business problems

•     High attention to detail, especially with numbers

Preferred (Nice to Have)

•     Coursework, internship, or part-time experience in accounting, finance, or business

•     Familiarity with QuickBooks, Power BI, Excel Power Query, or similar tools

•     Hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for real work, not just casual use

•     Exposure to a small business or operations-heavy environment

$65,000–$75,000 base salary, commensurate with experience, plus standard benefits. This role comes with direct, high-visibility access to the CEO and outsized room to grow — strong performance here opens the door to a much bigger role as CLC scales.
