Registered Dietitian – Contract
Location: Bronx, NY
Contract: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours: 35 Hours/Week | 5 Days/Week
Pay Rate: $50.00–$60.00/Hour
Seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to assess patients' nutritional needs, provide nutrition education, and develop appropriate dietary plans. The Dietitian will collaborate with healthcare providers to support patients' overall nutritional care.
Responsibilities- Screen and assess patients' nutritional needs and provide follow-up care.
- Review medical records, laboratory results, and relevant patient data.
- Interview patients and families regarding food habits and dietary preferences.
- Provide nutrition education and document dietary instructions.
- Monitor food and drug interactions and educate patients accordingly.
- Consult with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.
- Modify patient menus as needed.
- Maintain accurate nutrition documentation and patient records.
- Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3+ years preferred.
- Recent inpatient experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Foods, or Nutrition from an accredited institution.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through CDR required.
- Additional credentials such as CDCES or CNSC highly preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Weekends and holidays required; typically 1–2 weekends per month.
