This exciting position will fill a critical need in the new and emerging area of protecting space assets. As part of an Agile team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks in various areas across the mission and collaborate with the development teams, contractors, customers, and subject matter experts.As a key member of the software development team, you will be part of the entire engineering life-cycle, and apply your Software Engineering background to develop web applications in an open architecture infrastructure. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.Basic QualificationsExperienced in software development using programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, etc.Experience working in an Agile development environment, including tools such as Jira and ConfluenceUS citizenship is required to obtain a government security clearanceMust have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance.Generally has 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related disciplineDesired SkillsExperience in application containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc.) in a cloud environment (AWS/Azure/Openstack/Openshift)Experience with frameworks such as .NET Core, Angular, etc.Experience with GitLab CI/CD - Deployment pipelines, automated build, and/or configuration toolsExperience with databases (PostgreSQL & Redis)Strong knowledge of modern technology frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, APIs, DevOps, and data architecture.Experience with modern engineering practices such as Cross-Functional Agile teams and Capability-based planningActive TS/SCI security clearance Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
