Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in Day Surgery Outpatient will perform Preop and Phase 2 Postop duties, including starting IVs and providing discharge education for a variety of procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform PreOp for procedures such as open hearts, port placements, and endoscopies
- Provide Phase 2 recovery/postop discharge education and discharge patients home
- Work collaboratively in a team nursing approach in the postop area
Requirements:
- Previous Preop & Phase 2 Postop experience
- Competence and comfort in starting IVs
