Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred, but must be obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position Responsibilities for this Position:Facilitate and own ART-level ceremonies (PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect & Adapt, System Demos) across multiple teamsDrive cross-team coordination, dependency management, and integration planning across the Release TrainPartner with Control Account Managers and program leadership to align agile delivery with EVM milestones, IMS gates, and contractual commitmentsIdentify and escalate systemic impediments, whether technical, organizational, contractual, or process-related, and drive them to resolutionShield teams from external disruption while keeping leadership informed with clear, honest reporting on progress, risk, and trade-offsCoach Scrum Masters and team leads on agile best practices, continuous improvement, and how to operate effectively within DoD program constraintsOwn and improve the flow of work across the ART, using metrics (flow load, throughput, cycle time, predictability) to drive decisions, not just statusCoordinate with Systems Engineering, Integration & Test, and other functional leads to keep the program technically coherentBuild relationships across the program that make cross-cutting problems easier to solve, not harderWhat sets you apart:Direct experience operating within DoD program structures (EVMS, IMS, CDRLs, IBR, control accounts) and the ability to connect that world to agile deliveryTrack record of facilitating PI Planning or equivalent large-scale planning eventsExperience coaching and developing Scrum Masters, not just running ceremonies yourselfAbility to work across engineering disciplines (software, systems, integration, test) and keep everyone pulling in the same directionComfort operating in environments with classification requirements, contractual constraints, and government oversightClear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standardsStrong enough technically to understand what the teams are building and where the real risks areInterest in the DPME career path with a desire to lead through process, influence, and trust, not authorityCreative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexityTeam player who builds trust across organizational boundaries and measures success by what the teams deliver, not personal visibilityCommitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and othersIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovationOur Commitment to You:An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.Research oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s securityFlexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)Competitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and moreSee more at gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefitsWorkplace Options:On-Site at our Pittsfield, MA facility with some room for flexibility. #LI-Hybrid Salary Note This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
