Night Surgical Critical Care Nurse Practitioner Job-Hartford, CT

A leading, nationally recognized academic medical center is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join its Surgical Critical Care team in Hartford, CT. This night shift role offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team caring for complex and critically ill surgical and trauma patients in a state-of-the-art ICU environment.

Position Responsibilities

Working collaboratively with attending physicians, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary care team, the Nurse Practitioner will:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations

• Develop and implement medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans

• Manage critically ill ICU patients in accordance with established protocols

• Perform critical care procedures within scope of practice

• Participate in ventilator management and resuscitation efforts

• Coordinate care with consulting services and specialists

• Identify patient needs and facilitate appropriate referrals

• Deliver evidence-based care while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality

Qualifications Required

• Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

• Eligible for or currently holding unrestricted Connecticut licensure

• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Advanced Practice Provider experience in a critical care ICU setting
