Research Assistant

To support a research project on spatial and language development in children aged 4-12, the full-time Research Assistant will oversee data collection, management, and organization while collaborating with a research team, primarily at the Georgetown facility. Key responsibilities Manage data collection and organization for behavioral and imaging studies Recruit and interact with child participants and their parents, conducting experiments as needed Assist in maintaining lab records, managing IRB documentation, and performing preliminary data analyses Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Cognitive Science or Psychology Experience in conducting behavioral and/or imaging experiments with children aged 6 months to 12 years At least two years of experience in a Cognitive Science or related lab setting Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively on a research team
