Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to acute-care patients per physician orders, including assessment and therapy administration.
- Manage respiratory therapies for patients requiring ventilation support, including monitoring, adjustments, and weaning as appropriate.
- Administer inhaled medications, aerosolized therapies, and mucus clearance techniques; monitor patient response and safety.
- Perform diagnostic activities as indicated (e.g., ABG sampling) and interpret results to guide therapy.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment (ventilators, O2 delivery, nebulizers); uphold infection control standards.
- Document all interventions and patient progress in the electronic medical record; coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- May be required to float to nearby affiliated facilities within the system to meet coverage needs.

Requirements
- Active New Hampshire Respiratory Therapist license with NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; license verification required.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care respiratory therapy experience or documented travel therapy experience.
- Ability to work in a hospital acute care setting; 12-hour night shifts with every-other-weekend schedule.
- Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required.
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics; RTO (return-to-off) must be included at submission.
- Candidates within 50 miles may be considered for local rate eligibility.
