Vascular Surgeon

Indiana University Health Care Associates, Inc. d/b/a Indiana University Health Medical Group seeks a Vascular Surgeon in Bloomington and Spencer, Indiana.

Job Duties

Deliver Vascular Surgeon services to patients through the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, ailments, and disabilities with no restrictions or limitations. Position is based in Bloomington, Indiana, with travel between the local healthcare clinic and Bloomington hospital required. All travel is local and within a reasonable commute, as dictated by patient demand, with no overnight travel. Travel will occur approximately once per month.

Minimum Requirements

M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent in Medicine; eligibility for or possession of a valid Indiana medical license; completion of a medical residency in Vascular Surgery; and Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Vascular Surgery.

Healthcare System/Hospital Description

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center, part of the Indiana University Health Medical Group, opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.

At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
