Overnight Emergency Veterinarian

The Emergency Veterinarian will provide immediate and comprehensive care to animals experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. This role requires strong diagnostic and treatment skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a commitment to client communication. Responsibilities include:

Evaluating and treating animals presenting with a variety of emergencies, including trauma, acute illnesses, and critical conditions.
Performing physical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, and developing treatment plans.
Performing emergency procedures, such as CPR, airway management, and wound care.
Administering medications and providing supportive care.
Collaborating with other veterinarians and specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
Communicating effectively with clients, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses with empathy and clarity.
Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records.
Working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to perform abdominal and cardiac ultrasound is a huge plus.
The ability to perform ER surgeries is preferred.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree.
License to practice in the state of Texas
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of emergency medicine principles.
