Backfill Role
T echnical Program Manager (TPM) API Platform / API Unification / Ads API
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: Through end of year (high likelihood of extension)
Interview: 1 Round
Visa: Prefer USC/GC
Industry Preference: Strong preference for candidates from Big Tech (Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, etc.). Avoid candidates from banking, insurance, or financial services.
Role Overview
Pinterest is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead execution across multiple API Platform and API Unification initiatives. This is a highly technical TPM role focused on driving cross-functional alignment, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring production readiness for API platform projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive API Platform and API Unification programs from planning through production.
- Build and manage project roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
- Coordinate engineering teams and technical stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
- Define success criteria, launch readiness, and production milestones.
- Lead cross-functional meetings, resolve blockers, and provide executive-level status updates.
- Improve program execution, accountability, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of Technical Program Management experience.
- Strong experience managing API Platform , Developer Platform , or Infrastructure programs.
- Experience with API lifecycle , GraphQL , developer tooling , or platform engineering .
- Proven experience managing cross-functional engineering projects in Agile environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, roadmap planning, dependency tracking, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred
- Experience with API Unification, schema/code generation, GraphQL, or platform architecture.
- Background working with developer infrastructure or large-scale engineering platforms.
- Experience at Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple , or other leading technology companies.
Manager Notes:
- Looking for a highly technical TPM , not just a project coordinator.
- Resume should clearly demonstrate technical ownership, measurable accomplishments, and program delivery .
- Preference for candidates with experience leading complex engineering initiatives in large-scale technology environments.
