Join Our Team as a Facilities Manager!

Futures Unlimited is seeking a dedicated full-time Facility Manager to help maintain and enhance our facilities while supporting our mission of empowering the people we serve.

As our Facility Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, functionality, appearance, and efficiency of our buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment. This position requires a hands-on professional who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environments for employees, residents, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Facility and Property Maintenance

• Assess the condition of agency buildings, grounds, and equipment and promptly address repair and maintenance needs.
• Perform general maintenance and repair work in a safe and effective manner.
• Complete seasonal grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, snow removal, and other outdoor upkeep tasks.

Vendor and Contractor Management

• Schedule, coordinate, and oversee contractors performing construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, equipment repairs, and safety/security system work.
• Ensure all vendors are properly vetted, qualified, and meet agency standards.

Grounds and Support Services Oversight

• Coordinate and direct ongoing services such as landscaping and janitorial operations through staff assignments or contracted services.
• Assist with agency projects involving cleaning, moving, shipping and receiving, workspace setup, and vehicle transportation as needed.

Safety and Compliance

• Assist with building access management, key control, and implementation of safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records related to licensure, regulatory compliance, OSHA requirements, and health and safety regulations.
• Ensure building code violations, inspections, and compliance concerns are addressed promptly and documented appropriately.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience in general maintenance, facilities management, property maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair practices.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment, tools, and agency vehicles.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials, and perform the physical duties associated with facility and grounds maintenance.
