Execute brand strategy and tactics in field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long‑term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of all efforts and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed those goals. Create pre‑call plans using SMART objectives and perform post‑call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements. Develop and execute call plans that meet set metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, and disease dynamics; share market intelligence with the in‑field team, brand team, and sales manager. Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition, identify, develop, and maintain disease‑state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business‑related field is preferred; equivalent experience is required. At least five years of industry experience, with three years within the pharmaceutical/health/science sector, is preferred; a high school diploma/GED is required. Proactive identification of customer style/behavior and rapid adaptation of selling approach. Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills; innovative ideas to maximize business opportunities. In‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource; strong business acumen. Influences others and is a respected role model; collaborates with district colleagues and matrix teams. Must meet all healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements (background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proofs, etc.). Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening test. Key Stakeholders External: Specialty Physicians in the therapeutic brand area, pharmacists, nurses, and other stakeholders based on the brand plan. Internal: In‑field team members, Sales Management (e.g., DSM), Marketing Management, Training, Customer Excellence, and Brand Plan stakeholders.
