Job Title: RN - Interventional Radiology Location: Oklahoma Job Summary: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in one of OU Health’s specialty areas. The RN assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, assists physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and administers medications as prescribed. The role involves monitoring physiological data, initiating and regulating intravenous infusions and blood products, delivering competent patient care, and interacting with patients and families to share care plans. The RN oversees treatment provided by technicians or other service providers, informs patients and families of hospital procedures, makes referrals regarding patient care needs, and delegates tasks to support staff. Required Qualifications: Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Basic computer skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing specialized care. Completion of orientation and ability to function independently in assigned specialty area prior to being assigned to this position. Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred. Required Certifications & Licensure: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
