We are seeking an organized, dependable, and experienced Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing shop, specializing in wastewater pump stations.

The Shop Manager will be responsible for organizing workflow, coordinating employees and resources, monitoring production, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily shop operations and production activities with fabrication department.

• Organize manpower, materials, equipment, and workflow to meet production schedules.

• Assign work and provide direction and oversight to shop personnel.

• Monitor progress of multiple pump station projects and ensure deadlines are met.

• Coordinate closely with project management, engineering, purchasing, and field personnel.

• Review drawings, project requirements, and production schedules to ensure work is properly organized.

• Maintain accountability for quality, productivity, safety, and overall shop performance.

• Identify and address delays, material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and production issues.

• Ensure the shop, tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and organized.

• Establish and maintain efficient processes to minimize rework, waste, and downtime.

• Conduct regular inspections and ensure completed work meets project specifications.

• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.

• 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of pumps, valves, piping systems, related components.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Knowledge of pipefitting, fabrication, and pump specification is a strong plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office systems is preferred.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
