About the Position

Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: South Carolina RN license or Compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with administering and monitoring conscious sedation Description: The position requires the traveler to respond to call shifts as necessary. The preferred shift is from 06:30 to 15:00. In the procedure suite, the nurse ratio is 1:1. The pre-operative and discharge ratio can be up to 4:1. Every third weekend is required for coverage. On-call duties will involve one night a week. There is a possibility to float within scope, but it is highly unlikely. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Open to accommodating block schedules upon request but not guaranteed. Travelers should be aware that during the hurricane season, they may be assigned to emergency response teams. This season runs from June through November, with peak activity likely in August and September. Candidates should ensure they can complete compliance requirements on time for the proposed start date. This role includes interdisciplinary support from various healthcare teams. The environment may involve a daily census of patients that range in age from adolescents to geriatrics.
