The hospital includes 94 acute care beds and 11 psychiatric beds, providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients throughout Madison, Estill, Garrard, Rockcastle, Lee, and Jackson counties.State Registered Nurse AssistantUnder the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect patient care. The CNA provides excellence in patient care while respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of everyone. Empathy, compassion, communication, and teamwork are the hallmarks of the PCT-nurse-patient relationship.Performs direct patient care and related tasks as outlined by scope of practice and including but not limited to:Assist patients in personal hygiene activities such as bathing, dental and oral care, hair, and nail care.Assist patients with bowel and bladder functions while maintaining dignity.Records patient intake and output (I & O).Collects, labels, and transports specimens for laboratory analysis.Changes and transport soiled and contaminated linens according to procedure. Maintains clean and tidy patient room/environment.Assist patients with activity, turning and repositioning as indicated by provider order and in collaboration with the nurse.Communicates pertinent patient information/findings to patient's nurse.
