Assist in execution of production plans and the deployment of personnel in the manufacturing operation to drive safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Key metrics include: zero lost time accidents, on time delivery, and execution against targeted margins.Coordinates manpower for Operations.Works with production planning on a daily basis to understand and optimize efficiency related to manpower requirements.Optimize the workforce based on qualification and shift requirements.Holds subordinates accountable and takes necessary disciplinary actions based on production guidelines and company regulations.Able to hold subordinates accountable for safety, process, productivity, quality and code of conduct standards.Responsible for directing the workforce as required to maintain safety, quality, and most efficient productivity.Makes recommendations and implement ideas on improving production environment.Coordinates operators to maintain production plan based on call-offs, vacations and other related deficiencies.2nd Shift Production Supervisor Qualifications:College education preferred.Requires a minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience in chemical industry. Preferably in coating and finishing technologies, including web processing.5 years' experience as supervisor in chemical industry preferred.Strong leadership, influencing, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skillsStrong problem solving skills to resolve equipment, component, scheduling, quality, safety, and personnel issues and concernsRelevant computer systems proficiency in a manufacturing environment as well as with standard desk top computer software applications.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
