Work Environment
This position allows for a fully remote work setting, providing flexibility in your schedule while maintaining a collaborative connection with colleagues. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. This structure supports a focused and efficient work-life balance while enabling you to make significant impacts in the lives of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to create individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs and recovery goals of clients struggling with substance use disorders.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to facilitate both individual counseling sessions and dynamic group therapy.
- Collaborate actively with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to provide integrated care and ensure coordinated treatment approaches.
- Implement crisis intervention techniques to assist clients facing immediate substance-related emergencies, while also guiding them towards recovery strategies.
- Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery processes, and available community resources to empower them on their recovery journey.
- Maintain precise and confidential documentation, in compliance with legal and ethical standards, demonstrating a clear understanding of the therapeutic progress achieved.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through team meetings, case consultations, and participating in training opportunities to stay aligned with the latest research and treatment methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily serves individuals grappling with substance use disorders, including a range of demographic backgrounds. Our patients often require a nuanced approach that combines personal support with structured therapeutic interventions aimed at improving their quality of life and assisting them in building healthy coping mechanisms.
Qualifications
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
- Strong familiarity with evidence-based treatment practices, particularly in the context of substance use and addiction support.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, specifically focused on addiction treatment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills which foster a non-judgmental and empathetic connection with patients.
- Ability to uphold professional boundaries and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical conduct at all times.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and adhering to integrated care workflows.
- Capable of working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, emphasizing collaborative care.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working in substance use disorder treatment facilities or community health clinics.
- Knowledge of local resources and community organizations that support individuals in recovery.
- Experience in crisis intervention techniques and emergency support related to addiction issues.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, supplemented by potential bonuses and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
