CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse to join our team in a circulating position. This role focuses on providing exceptional care during cardiovascular operating procedures, including heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of the operating room for cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other operating room specialties as required.
• Participate in on-call duties, approximately 100 hours every six weeks, including one call weekend every six weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR setting required.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma center is acceptable for first-time applicants.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Current Indiana RN license, compact license, or Indiana temporary permit is required prior to start.
• Ability to work during 2 out of 3 major holidays is mandatory.

Work Schedule

Shifts may include 8, 10, or 12-hour schedules, ensuring a standard 40 hours work week. Variations in schedule may include three 12-hour shifts (36 hours) or four 12-hour shifts (48 hours) per week.

Additional Information

This position may require travel between multiple locations within the region. Free parking is available for all staff members. The facility utilizes Cerner for charting patient information.
