As a Security Officer - Access Coordinator in Fort Lauderdale, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor activity, and support smooth daily operations. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and visitor check-in activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points for personnel, vendors, and vehicles, helping to deter unauthorized access while following post orders and reporting protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of arrivals, departures, credentials, and other access control activity, and report unusual behavior, policy violations, and other security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, including shipping, receiving, trailer, and parking areas, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
