Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: - Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program, a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: - Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS certification. - Must obtain appropriate credential within twelve months of hire date. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.Piedmont Fayette Hospital
