Job Description

PLC Controls Technician

This is a more advanced position and normally includes:

Troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery
Reviewing or modifying PLC programs
Working with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or similar platforms
Troubleshooting HMIs, VFDs, servos, vision systems, and industrial networks
Diagnosing sensors, instrumentation, I/O modules, safety relays, and motor controls
Performing equipment startup and commissioning
Calibrating temperature, pressure, flow, level, and proximity devices
Maintaining PLC backups, electrical drawings, programs, and technical documentation
Performing root-cause analysis on repeated equipment failures
