Laboratory Technician - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

CT Technologist Radiology

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• 2+ years of CT experience
• Experience with Phillips equipment
• BLS certification
• ARRT certification

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and participate in computerized tomography scanning procedures, including setup and operation of CT equipment.
• Transfer and position patients while ensuring safety and applying immobilization devices as necessary.
• Obtain patient identification, vital information, and medical history relevant to the exam.
• Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as per the protocol.
• Produce and develop images for patient files and ensure proper storage and transfer of electronic images.
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately; assist with emergency medical situations as required.
• Maintain a clean working environment and ensure inventory levels are adequate.
• Instruct new personnel as needed and assist radiologists with specialized procedures.
• Participate in departmental quality assessment initiatives and implement action plans when necessary.
