Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health|Psychiatric | Adolescent - Inpatient

Registered Nurse Behavioral Health
Schedule: Days Weekends required; contract includes 1214 weekend shifts.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required
- Valid RN license in the state or Compact required at time of submission
- BLS and CPI or MAB certifications required at time of submission
- Preferred: Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma I/II exposure
- Patient ratio experience: 6:1
- Core clinical skills:
- Behavioral interventions: de-escalation, crisis intervention, behavior management, managing assaultive behavior
- Safety protocols: seclusion, physical holds, chemical restraints
- Psychiatric medications and common psych diagnoses (mood disorders, psychotic disorders, bipolar, PTSD, personality disorders, substance use)
- Suicide/self-injury assessment and management
- Basic medical skills commonly used on the unit: IV starts/maintenance, NG/feeding tube, Foley care, EKG, oxygen
- Forensic/inpatient/locked-unit experience helpful
