Contract | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day/Night Rotating or Straight Nights | 7:00–19:00 / 19:00–7:00

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Operate within a 6-week rotating schedule generated by unit schedulers, including required weekend coverage
• Complete one orientation shift in the Cardiac ICU (CICU) to support float coverage needs during the assignment
• Float to acute care or NICU settings as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Potential responsibility for precepting other clinical staff as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of independent PICU experience required
• Experience in a PICU of 20 beds or larger required
• Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license (candidates without a Washington license must be willing to apply upon offer)
• Current PALS certification required
• Current BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records charting system
• Familiarity with high-acuity pediatric patient populations and complex critical care environments
• Experience working in a Magnet-designated, teaching, or Level I Trauma facility
