Quality Assurance Specialist (MANUFACTURING)

Job Opportunity

This job is fully onsite in Glastonbury, CT with a salary range of 75-90k. Must be a US Citizen to work at this facility. All candidates must be able to pass a background test and drug screen.

Job Description

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Measure, analyze and identify areas for streamlining the inspection cycle time, resulting in improved inspection throughput without sacrificing Quality of inspection
• Evaluating process turnback data and initiating cross functional action plans or process improvements
• Develop work standards by part number/family to improve efficiencies inspection
• Internal Customer Audits and external certification audits (ie. ISO, NSF) including FAA Audits
• Manager all customer returns, evaluate reason for return and disposition accordingly

Requirements

Knowledge, Experience or Skills

• Passion for Process Improvement
• Self-driven with an ability to manage many internal and external project schedules
• Knowledge of FAA regulations, orders, policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Quality Standards, including but not limited to ISO, AS and aerospace industry specifications
• Ability and desire to develop beyond this role as business requirements dictate
• Excellent Excel skills preferred and an understanding of SharePoint is a plus
• Minimum 5 years in related field.
• Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills both written and verbal
• Some travel may be required to visit and audit suppliers
