Apply now and discover a career where your contributions are valued, your growth is supported, and your work makes a lasting impactJOB SUMMARY:The Division Product Manager is responsible for the management of all Architectural needs to support Division operations.This position requires onsite attendance 5 days per week at our office located in Schaumburg, Illinois.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESCollects, maintains and is responsible for all information needed to draw and construct plans in all communities in a divisionAssists the Director of Product in ensuring all plans are aligned with division needsManages the execution of all Non-core plans through outsource drafting or other drafting resourcesIn coordination with the Director of Product, provides guidance to the division on product selection for new communitiesAdheres to established quality control processesProvides clear and useful visibility into status of all projects to division operating teams and Director of ProductGuards for the ongoing integrity of consumer inspired plansForecasts drafting work and durations for all projectsMaintains accurate architectural and structural details for the division in coordination with the Director of ProductCoordinates HVAC and Fire Suppression Engineering needs as required by municipal requirementsManages the delivery of all collateral needed for the marketing departmentProvides product analysis to land acquisition team as neededSupports Value Engineering efforts for all plans in divisionThis role MAY perform drafting services.MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIESEnsures appropriate staffing to meet department needsUtilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talentDelegates work according to employee’s abilities and skillsEvaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performanceProvides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunitiesCreates opportunities for employee growthProvides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors) SCOPE:Decision Impact: DepartmentDepartment Responsibility: SingleBudgetary Responsibility: YesDirect Reports: YesIndirect Reports: NoREQUIRED EDUCATION:Minimum High School diploma or equivalentBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction preferred REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Related Functional Experience: Minimum 5 or more years Architectural or Construction experienceCD development and construction expertiseProject management expertiseOutsource management expertiseUnderstanding of Federal & State codes related to residential productComprehensive knowledge of residential construction techniques, construction documents, building codes as well as technical and procedural knowledge of activities related to home building construction, including understanding plans & specs.Knowledge of structural elements and product installation means and methodsKnowledge of lean, value engineering and costing principles and practices a plus Effective communication and organization skillsGeneral understanding of AutoCad is required, drafting experience is preferredPay Information$100,000 - $120,000 annuallyHired applicant will be eligible to receive an annual bonus based on defined performance objectives.General Description of BenefitsEmployees are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Plan.
