IT Operations Administrator Tom Wood Group | Indianapolis, Indiana Department: Information Technology Reports To: IT Team Lead About Tom Wood Group Tom Wood Group is a large, multi-brand automotive dealership organization based in Indianapolis, Indiana. With dealerships representing multiple manufacturer brands, the organization relies on a modern, fully cloud-based IT environment to support its people, sales, service, and operations teams across all locations. Position Summary Tom Wood Group is seeking an IT Operations Administrator to own day-to-day user lifecycle management — license assignments, transfers, and terminations — across our Microsoft 365 and auto and powersports dealership management software environments. You'll work closely with Human Resources, our IT Systems Administrator, and our DMS administrator to keep every employee's accounts and access accurate and up to date, and assist our IT Team Lead with equipment needs for new hires and transfers. Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT point of contact for user lifecycle management — onboarding, transfers, and terminations — across all dealership locations.
• Create and maintain user accounts, licenses, security groups, and access settings within Microsoft 365 and Azure AD/Entra ID.
• Provision and manage user access within the organization's dealership management software for our Auto Dealership and Powersports brands.
• Provision physical access controls (badge/key fob) for each user.
• Assist the IT Team Lead with equipment orders and setup for new hires and transfers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user access and account issues, escalating as needed.
• Document standard operating procedures and identify opportunities to streamline lifecycle processes.
• Field inbound IT help desk calls on a rotating schedule.

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience with user lifecycle management, including onboarding, transfers, offboarding, and access provisioning.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure AD/Entra ID in a fully cloud-based environment.
• Experience working with auto and powersports dealership management software (DMS, CRM, or similar platforms).
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with HR and technical teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent requests and deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an automotive dealership or powersports environment.
• Understanding of AI tools and their practical use in operational and IT environments.
