Occupational Therapist

Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in an outpatient hand therapy setting

License: Valid State License required

Certifications: BLS, Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred

Must-Have: Experience in splint fabrication for post-operative cases

Expertise in treating a wide range of orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses

Experience with acute injuries, workers compensation cases, and chronic disorders

Description: Candidates should have experience treating a patient population that spans from pre-teens through geriatric individuals. The ideal candidate will possess skills in splint fabrication, including dynamic and static splints, and be familiar with various treatment methods such as electrical stimulation, iontophoresis, and myofascial release.

Key responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing a plan of care, conducting reassessments, and providing patient and family education. Candidates must be knowledgeable in safety and injury prevention techniques and demonstrate proficiency in handling soft tissue injuries and tendon repair. Experience with charting systems is required, with preference given to candidates familiar with Epic. The position requires an understanding of patient ratios, with flexibility for weekend coverage as needed.
