Administrative Assistant I

Qualifications:

• Proof of high school graduation/GED equivalent.
• Demonstrated proficiency in applied technology (Microsoft Office).
• Demonstrated proficiency in general office management and procedures.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have a high level of integrity and confidentiality regarding student records, employment records and campus issues.
• Must be self-motivated, possess the ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and work collaboratively.

Terms of Employment:

193 Days

Salary/Pay Grade:

$25,601/CP-4 as approved by the Board of Trustees.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain current attendance records as required by the district and the state, including:
• Admissions, qualifications and registrations
• Keeping records of second-language students
• Entering absences into the computer
• Handling correspondence to parents of students who have excessive absences
• Filing all excuses for absences; withdrawing students
• Keeping appropriate personnel apprised of changes in attendance records
• Prepare official attendance reports in accordance with district and state policies and procedures.
• Assist the campus administrative assistant in performing all office procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Maintain emotional control under stress; tolerate moderate noise levels; work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer, prolonged sitting.
