Vending Specialist

This position is designated under the AbilityOne Program and is set aside for individuals with significant disabilities. Our mission is to provide meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. 1-19 hrs/wk. $14.00 per/hr In accordance with Assets, Inc. core values and mission, this position provides direct labor services for Assets, Inc. vending machines. This position is expected to provide all aspects of vending services and upkeep utilizing standard technical procedures for the industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to and demonstrate Assets, Inc. core values and mission in the performance of all aspects of this position. Provides direct labor in accordance with OSHA safety standards at the work site. Performs direct labor in the manner required by the direction of the site manager. Is responsible for keys that are issued, money in the vending machines, and the sale items to ensure there is no theft or misuse by employees or customers. Performs stocking and cleaning of each vending machine. Throws away all boxes and trash and sweeps the area if necessary. Is responsible for shopping for items needed to restock vending machines. Maintains a professional appearance & attitude while shopping, stocking, and engaging with customers. Hands out a prepared survey and re-evaluates if items in the machines need to be changed. Performs and follows the policies set forth by Assets, Inc. Performs other duties as assigned. Desired Skills and Abilities Ability to match sample. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to manipulate different size and shape of product as well as tolerate frozen/cold food/beverage products. Be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school education or six months in an employment position or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print simple sentences.
