RN Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Travel / Contract - Night

Job Title and Location Travel ICU RN – South Charleston, West Virginia – Fusion Medical Staffing Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in South Charleston, West Virginia. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the ICU, including assessment and monitoring of critically ill patients. Operate and manage advanced life-support equipment. Administer complex medications and advanced treatments in accordance with approved critical-care nursing techniques. Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments, addressing physical and emotional needs. Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner. Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Communicate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care. Maintain proficiency in critical-care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training. Adhere to strict infection-control protocols and hospital safety protocols, infection-control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality-improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Qualifications One year of recent experience as an ICU RN. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Critical-Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Physical Requirements Remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment weighing 50-100 lbs. Push, pull, and bend as required. Technical/Motor Skills Perform fine manipulation and handle department equipment during procedures. Mental Requirements Cope with frequent contact with the general public while meeting deadlines under pressure. Work under close supervision occasionally, and also work without assistance from other personnel. Sensory Requirements Possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
