Cardiologist (MD/DO) UNC Specialty Care at Sanford is looking for a Cardiologist (MD/DO). Our team in Cardiology specializes in the following: Non‑invasive, general Cardiology Participate in the care for patients in an outpatient clinic in conjunction with physicians Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests Plan and coordinate follow‑up with patients Provide routine diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative care Educate patients about preventative care, medical issues and use of prescribed medications Opportunity for inpatient consultation and stress testing during normal practice hours Position Specifics Comprehensive and competitive benefits program that provides flexibility in coverage and voluntary supplemental programs Competitive salary with excellent incentives Excellent, prime location in Sanford, NC Positive culture in a physician‑led organization and large health care system Job Practice Hours Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Qualifications Medical School Graduate (MD/DO) Board certified NC State License preferred FCVS profile preferred for those without NC license but not required Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and completion of an ACGME certified fellowship program Board Certified in Cardiology DEA, MD, ACLS, BLS required Good English communication skills Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, hear, and talk. The employee will need to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required. Work Environment The work environment is a general medical office/hospital setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
