JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The M4 Knick Inside Sales Representative contributes to sales efforts within a dedicated geography to maintain and grow existing business while supporting new business development.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role works closely with Regional Managers and/or Account Managers, taking an active role in the sales process for their dedicated area. The position combines a support function — helping manage existing business — with a proactive function focused on helping obtain new business. The Inside Sales Representative reports to the Customer Support Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this role is to take an active part in the sales process to help meet sales bookings targets, including the following essential functions:

•        Provide proactive daily support to Regional Managers and Account Managers on customer or representative interactions.

•        Actively participate in sales generation using available tools and resources.

•        Assist the Order Management group with order-related tasks.

•        Review incoming leads and manage lead follow-up as needed.

•        Lead training for representatives on best practices for doing business with M4 Knick.

•        Update manuals used by Order Management regarding special customer or representative pricing or handling.

•        Provide technical and application support to internal and external customers.

•        Serve as a liaison between the Outside Sales group and other M4 Knick departments.

•        Manage estimates for the assigned area of responsibility to keep the estimate funnel accurate and current.

•        Travel within the assigned area of responsibility to visit representatives and customers as needed.

•        Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

•        Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a standard office environment and requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, operate a computer and standard office equipment, and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing. Occasional regional travel, including driving to representative and customer sites, is required.
