Pharmacy Technician

GRX Holdings, LLC is a fast growing, family-oriented group of independent pharmacies located in Indianola. We are hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician, up to 40 hours per week, to work at our Medicap Pharmacy. We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician who will process and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, in accordance with state and federal regulations. The role will involve measuring, counting, labeling, record keeping, and communicating with patients and other healthcare professionals, ensuring customer satisfaction by serving each customer promptly, professionally, and friendly. We offer a highly competitive pay rate based on experience, no nights, Sundays, or holidays, and some flexibility in scheduling. Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred but not required; we will train qualified candidates. Certified Pharmacy Technicians are also welcomed. Responsibilities On‑site attendance is required. Follow company policies and procedures, including register performance, security, and confidentiality. Greet customers and answer questions. Receive prescriptions, check validity, and process them electronically. Resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims. Select appropriate medication, measure dosages, and fill prescriptions. Sort, stock, label medication, and monitor inventory. Undertake administrative tasks as assigned. Comply with all security measures and quality standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Proven pharmacy technician experience is a plus. Experience with an online prescription system is a plus. Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement is a plus. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Outstanding organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Pharmacy technicians must be nationally certified and registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy; those not registered must obtain registration before commencing employment in an Iowa pharmacy.
