Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or Education, active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, and a minimum 1+ years BCBA experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunity for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is available under a contract position supporting private school locations around the Tavares, FL area. The local district is actively searching for a skilled professional to start in early September and work throughout the school year, providing crucial behavioral consultation and support. This on-site position covers 30 hours per week across four days, allowing for focus on quality service while maintaining work-life balance.

Primary duties will include conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments to evaluate students or classroom situations, developing and implementing data-driven Behavioral Intervention Plans, and training staff on intervention procedures. As an itinerant provider, you’ll collaborate with various private schools, ensuring each student or classroom receives personalized support. You’ll also play a key role in program monitoring, adjusting behavioral plans to foster skill development and maintenance.

Further, the BCBA will guide teachers and staff in executing social-emotional curriculums, de-escalation techniques, and crisis prevention. The role focuses on supporting students through behavioral therapy, both individually and in groups, and embraces flexible, student-centered intervention practices.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Current BCBA national certification required
• Experience working with school-aged children (district strongly prefers, but not required)
• Ability to conduct and document comprehensive behavioral assessments and intervention plans
• Strong skills in staff training, data collection, and program implementation
• Comfortable working onsite during school hours, with occasional schedule adjustments
• Willingness to collaborate in an itinerant capacity with multiple private school locations
• Ability to complete time-sensitive onboarding requirements as directed
