SQL Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support a high-impact project focused on Business Intelligence (BI), Data Visualization, and Data Warehousing . This role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into scalable data solutions and actionable insights. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and BI/reporting requirements
- Support the development of interactive dashboards and reports (Tableau preferred)
- Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, transformation logic, and consistency
- Design and document data flows, mappings, and business rules
- Create and maintain BRDs, user stories, and process documentation
- Partner with engineering teams on data warehouse and integration initiatives
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Support UAT, validation, and business sign-off for dashboards and reports
- Provide ongoing project support or serve as a backfill for existing BSA functions
- 5-6 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Business Analyst
- Strong expertise in requirements gathering and documentation
- Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau preferred)
- Solid understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design
- Experience working with data warehouses and large datasets
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (ETL processes, data modeling, star/snowflake schemas)
- Experience with SQL and data querying
- Familiarity with data integration workflows and reporting pipelines
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Domain experience in Insurance, Financial Services, or Healthcare (nice to have)
