Sterile Compounding Technician

This positionis responsible for interpreting formula worksheets and compounding medication using approved equipment and aseptic processes. Techniciansare responsible forcleaning andmaintainingthe compoundingequipment. All duties are performed under the supervision of a Lead Technician and a licensed pharmacist. The Sterile Compounding Techniciandemonstratesa commitment to the mission and goals ofBelmarPharmacy. Responsibilities Measures, weighs, counts, and compounds medications Mixes pharmaceutical preparations according to formulation logs Establishes andmaintainsaccuratepatient records by entering correct lot numbers andexpirationdates of compounded medications Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs Preparation and compounding of sterile products Maintaining the pharmacy clean room suite to USP 797 and USP 800 requirements Experience with following aseptic techniques in BSC and LAFW Capable of successfully completing Hand Hygiene and Garbing qualification Experience using a repeater pump Inventory management and storage, completeappropriate documentation, such as labels, logsheetsand reports Clean equipment and sterilize glassware using dry heat ovens or autoclaves Performs toestablishedefficiency metrics while adhering to quality standards Maintains compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute. High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to read, understand SOPs and all guidelines as they relate to the process Registration with state as a licensed technician isrequiredupon hire Compounding and/or laboratory experience preferred Excellent attention to detail An awareness of health and safety regulations Ability to work as a part of a team in afast-paceenvironment Must be able to work in a variety of positions locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reach, and walking, for prolonged periods of time Must be able to use necessary equipment such as computers, scanners, or other technology devices as assigned Potential exposure to chemicals used in preparation of compounds (some chemicals are classified as toxic and special safety precautions must be taken when working with these chemicals) Must be able to wear required compounding safety equipment forlong periodsof time whenrequired Pay Range: $24.48 - $28.25 Position Requirements Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Shift Days User5 Position Pay Range $24.48 - $28.25 City and State Position Sterile Compounding Technician Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Open Date 8/31/2026 Location Belmar Pharmacy - Arizona EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
