CNC Operator

This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Summary of Position The CNC Operator is responsible for the timely and accurate production of metallic machined parts per the specifications and requirements of the shop traveler. The CNC Operator is also responsible for error-free processing of each order, and for completing the necessary paperwork and computer data entries associated with the CNC Production Process. Responsibilities and Duties As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the CNC Operator. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require. - Operate, maintain, clean, setup, load, and unload the CNC Router {=html} - Effectively and efficiently carry out production process: - Receive order from Production Planner - Allocate, pull, and load material - Set up machine and run job - Inspect products - Clean, label, and stage finished parts - Offload scrap or stock and return any materials as needed - Process job though the system and maintain an organized, clean work area - Verify quality to ensure the product meets the customers specifications {=html} - Regularly clean and maintain equipment and machinery {=html} - Program and troubleshoot CNC Router functions {=html} - Understand Sunshine Metals objectives and mission {=html} - Practice a willingness to learn production and distribution methodology {=html} - Adhere to all Sunshine Metals safety rules, regulations, quality standards and procedures {=html} - Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day {=html} - Cross-train other team members as assigned Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent {=html} - Valid Drivers License {=html} - Two or more years of machine operating experience {=html} - Intermediate or Higher CNC operation experience {=html} - Good reading and math skills {=html} - Good organizational, problem solving, and time management skills {=html} - Good written and oral communication skills {=html} - Computer skills {=html} - Ability to measure using different tools {=html} - Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction {=html} - Strong work ethic; self-motivated {=html} - Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers Preferred Qualifications - Coursework in metalworking, blueprint reading, drafting and math {=html} - Two years machine operating experience {=html} - One or more years of CNC router operation experience {=html} - Mastercam experience Physical Requirements Physical demands can include but not limited to: - Sitting {=html} - Standing {=html} - Use of hands or fingers {=html} - Kneeling/Crawling/Twisting/Balancing {=html} - Bending/Climbing {=html} - Speaking and Listening {=html} - Close vision (clear vision at 36 inches or less) Weights to be lifted: - Up to 50 poundsCan be accommodated with assistance and/or a lifting device if needed Weights to be pushed/pulled: - Up to 50 poundsCan be accommodated with assista ce and/or a lifting device if needed Benefits: - 401(k) {=html} - 401(k) Matching {=html} - Tuition Reimbursement {=html} - Paid Time Off {=html} - Health Insurance {=html} - Dental Insurance {=html} - Vision Insurance {=html} - Life Insurance Working Conditions Good working conditions.
