Retail Service Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $16.90 - $24.90. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. The Retail Service Specialist will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations, and will assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of an Assistant or Store Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels of the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution of customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, and others. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub-to-store, and store-to-store transfers, as well as DC add orders, are processed in a timely manner and that customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed. Ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing the electronic outside purchase order ledger. Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed in an efficient and friendly manner, refunds are issued accurately using the correct payment methods, and returned merchandise is processed or staged in the returns area correctly. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store. Ensure that Zipline messages are communicated and that Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed as assigned. Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule; changes/deviations are approved by a member of management, and team members clock in/out according to company policy. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying/securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits as needed, ensuring all night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing and locking delivery vehicles parked in the secure designated area. Perform all other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Strong communication skills, Ability to obtain RSS Certification. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts; automotive systems and repair knowledge; ASE Certification.
